Potato Leek Soup
Imagine mashed potatoes in soup form, with extra flavor, and easier to make.
This recipe is taken from Julia Child's cookbook but I take some shortcuts
to make it easier.
Get equal amounts of potato and leek. Maybe 1 of each
Peel the potato and cut in cubes
Slice the entire leek in thin circles
Put in pot, add salt
Almost cover with water
Boil partially covered (with a crooked lid on)
Stop when potatoes are done (30-50 min)
Add small amount of butter
Blend in blender
